Late last month Erykah Badu hit our shores for a round of shows that blew the roof off of Melbourne’s neo-soul lovin’ crowds. You could literally feel the energy seeping from the floor, up her legs and through her body until her mouth let out the most exquisite sounds. Ripping through her roll call of hits, she kept everyone completely in the palm of her hand with every note. While most artists would be completely farked after giving so much of their soul to a sell out crowd, Erykah continued the party at Seven busting out a two hour DJ set of all her fave hits. She blasted through Native Tongues, to Dilla, new D’Angelo and of course a slathering of soul and disco. Check out some of the good shit that went down!
